First SportStar with 'glass' cockpit delivered!
The first SportStar with an all 'glass' panel is now flying in Australia. The panel has 2 Dynon screens - the EFIS D100 and the EMS D120.

These screens are linked so that information on each can be shown on the other. Apart from the usual parameters like ASI, height and VSI, the EFIS screen also shows an artificial horizon, direction gyro, TAS (via an OAT) and G-meter readings. The EMS screen shows all the usual engine readings, plus fuel flow details from either or both tanks.

A useful addition is the connection of the big AvMap EKP GPS screen (top centre in the photo) into the EFIS, effectively providing a VOR readout on the Dynon screen.

There are back up analogue gauges for ASI, altitude, a slip ball and a magnetic compass.

This is easily the most comprehensive instrument panel installed so far in a SportStar!
SilverWing sales exceed 60 aircraft
We are very pleased to announce that SilverWing aircraft sales - SportStar and Foxbat combined - exceeded 60 during May this year. The split between the SportStar and Foxbat is roughly 50:50. The SportStar has attracted mainly flying school buyers, with over half of them on the VH-register. Foxbats go mainly to private buyers, although there are some on training line. The new Foxbat LSA has already attracted 4 customers, 3 of them choosing the no-cost optional twin control yoke configuration.
